Our new computer arrived today, which means that we will be offline photo-wise until Chris gets it up and running. I have no idea how long it will take, but I will be posting again as soon as I learn the new software.

OK, it's not really week 6 - I've definitely missed a few in there somewhere.... Anyway, that's Eudora blowing out the candles at her birthday party! Andy recently introduced me to the wonders of film speed (apparently he has explained this to me before... who knew?...) and I've never actually gotten a picture in such low light before. Maybe not the best shot ever of Eudora, but I thought the cupcakes looked nice.

i'm unsure how to really count this since i am increasingly not taking a photo every single day. do i just count the days that i do get a picture? or do i mark the ones i miss with a fail and keep count of the total days from when i started? decisions, decisions. also, i did wonder recently why i didn't just commit to a month or two of a photo every day. i may yet revise that...

yeah - i blew it two days in a row this week. i have lots of excuses - meetings, dogs flying to taiwan, carpool, flat tires. but really, the best excuse is this sweet new baby, which is where i spent the day yesterday.

in my eagerness for a shallow depth of field, i often get too close to my subject and don't leave enough space in my photos. this is an example of that problem. it looked so good through the viewfinder...

i forgot again yesterday. i took the picture on my way home from the office, but completely forgot to post it. these are news cameras outside the dc district court. i can always tell when there is a big case by the news trucks outside. i guess this might be the chandra levy case going on right now?

I tried playing with the colors in the editing. Ladybug is making the cornbread to go with Election Night Chili. She has only just begun helping me in the kitchen so, it's a pretty big deal in Jonesville :)
